Penelope Moore
"My motto: Find a way to do what you love and everything else will fall into place."

Giving up everything to concentrate on art, Artist Penelope Moore has been traveling the country with her artist boyfriend, Aaron Memmott, on a extended painting expedition.

Trading artwork to stay in vacation rentals and second homes (upscale condos to chic apartments), the couple has spent six weeks in Wine Country, two weeks at a rustic hillside retreat in Albuquerque, three months nestled in a luxurious Utah mountain hideaway and soon; a cottage surrounded by vineyards - in the South of France.

Profile: Jerry Vigil, Chicano Artista

"Listen to your own muse, not critics, learn the techniques and do not let people dissuade your art."

I work primarily with two styles; the Day of the dead, or Dia de los Muertos, uses  the skeleton or calavera. I contemporize the style and size, adjust the theme of the piece and come up with  modern versions. The other form I work in is the Santos (Saints) art form, sometime better know as devotional art.

I made two Mosaic Globe sites, one for my personal site and one for my business site.
Although I had a Brownie Starmite camera when I was just a kid, my Dad bought me my first "real" 35mm camera when I was in high school and photography has been part of my life ever since. Although I always thought I would end up becoming a documentary photographer, my path took a different turn. Out of college I started working for ILFORD...
